The type of evaluation chosen in this case study of Arlit mines is a multi-criteria multi-stakeholder sustainability assessment.
As shown in Graphic 1, the approach of the researcher consisted of several tasks, enriched by both top-down and bottom-up elements.
On the left of Graphic 1, the definition of the site’s sustainable development issues is a result of the previous step. The following tasks are part of the next step (links to next and previous step on the right).
